This is a low-fi website. There are very few pictures, special effects or technological displays which say 'Hey, look! I can do this! And this! And this...'. The design is driven by the need for speed and clarity. People's time is precious and sometimes expensive.
Simplicty saves time and money. The files for this website transmit and render quickly. The simple design is adaptable to different browsing condtions, for example mobile browsing on a notebook PC with a non-standard screen size.
Low-tech design satisfies high-end users. High-end users are mobile, busy people who expect results. Their time is important. They're not gonna be persuaded by a cool graphic that takes ages to download properly over the hotel Internet connection costing £££s per minute.
