Matt Williams
Matt Williams has an acute understanding of web-based design and business
process, a command of writing and editing for the Internet plus the technical
stuff.
He began working life in below the line copywriting, moving on to health and social
care project development, fundraising for small and large charities, consultancy and
training for social enterprises.
He fell into web-site making by accident in 1999, because it looked interesting.
He does:
-
Consulting, coaching and skills-building on technical, operational and conceptual
aspects of websites.
-
Site planning, audit and review - usability, accessibility, structure, look and
feel, content management (editorial) process, online presentation, offline systems.
-
User-friendly pages that are easy to edit and update yourself.
-
Ideas, structure, process, purpose, detail, a pencil and paper. People exploring putting up a website for the first time. Simple ways to do things that work.
Technical skills:
- HTML, XML, CSS, PHP, SQL integration, multi-media integration (but see below, work with a database specialist on SQL and a multi-media designer on Flash, video and the like).
- Usability & user testing.
- Image & audio processing & presentation.
Intengu is Matt and occasional specialist colleagues.
